I am Amma, Candace Bonney
 (' Amma ' is the Essene title for a woman priest) and my bio is most definitely still under construction. A quick read of me would be to know my favorite piece of music is "Ode to Joy".

 I hope you enjoy this site half as much as I enjoy writing it.

My life partner is Artu.
He is my heart and co-founder our on line ministry.  
We also co-founded The Sanctuary of The Heart. The sanctuary is simply a place to sit and reflect. we hope it is beautiful. We have outreach services revealed on this site.
 
Artu has Doctorates in Theology, Metaphysics and Philosophy. He attended Bethany Seminary and graduated the CG Jung Institute.  

Currently we are both ordained  Essene Priests 
Licensed,Pastoral Counselors.

Artu's paintings are in The Original Art section for your viewing pleasure.  He is also an accomplished musician in jazz guitar and classical piano. Artu is a lovely human being with whom  I love sharing my days.

I began my adult journey in quest of the Divine spark. I lived in Manhattan on 72 and CPW , worked at the Directors Guild and attended The New School for Social Research. I latter went to Antioch and became a Hospital trained nurse... 
 eventually worked in substance abuse as a CAC and CCDT/CCAT...

  I was recruited  to work in Risk Management with a fortune 500 company as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional.  
I was grateful to have such a job and worked hard with responsibilities for 7000 employees. 

I quit my job when the old Groucho Marx line
 " I had a perfectly wonderful evening,but this wasn't it " made a little too much sense in my life.

 For a person who is dyslexic and a synasthet  to quit such a  good job may not have been a wise career move but I knew that for me, it was the right thing to do .   

I  spent my savings and traveled all over America, Jerusalem and Europe visiting Holy Sites. I went  seeking to know what is Holy. I stayed in ashrams and monasteries; 
backpacked and met wonderful people along the way home. I studied/experienced 
many places  for example Roslyn Chapel in Scotland and ancient temples in Sicily.

i studied many years with two Metaphysical Schools one in New Mexico and one in Washington:I
continued to study texts such as , The Tao, The Course in Miracles, The Bagavagita and Essene Theology, Manly Hall , Elaine Pagels and Dion Fortune. 

  

Joyfully, I became a Reiki Master and worked in Hospices and Homeless Shelters as well as my private practice. During my travels I was graced to have Swami Satchidanada bless my work.  



Eventually I 
began my own school in Maryland.
 
We have recently moved our center to North Carolina where i still teach Reiki privately.  Arturo teaches Jazz guitar and classical piano.

We have established an international community of artists that we love to serve. 

I have appeared in three of  the "Mind, Body, Soul" conferences in Maryland which featured among others Dr.Wayne Dyer and Dan Milman. My work has been covered in The Baltimore Sun Paper.

is written by the Oliveheart sisters in 3 columns, which are,
 'O' 'LIVE' and 'HEARTS' , on this website,   i do because it is fun.

We also have the story line from our musical on this site in the segment from "Stil Novo". 

The Indigo Madonna and The Mystery of Loch Raven are the published works I have presented at conferences.

as for my quest?  I have come to find  that, given half a chance, people really do have an Inner Beauty that is absolutely Divine.
If I listen enough I can almost always hear a beautiful life song in every person.

So my "bio" is not really "all that".
 I am after all just like everybody else and that's not bad.
